Students are doing their placements at “Zaferoğlu İnşaat”

Second-year students of the Architecture and Design faculties of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts (ADRA) are doing their placements at “Zaferoğlu İnşaat” LLC.

Firdovsi Bakhishov, who is both a lecturer at ADRA and the executive director of “Zaferoğlu İnşaat”, gave his students the chance to put the theory he teaches at the academy into practice.

Mr Bakhishov led the placement himself and took the students to the company’s construction site. The architects of the future learned about the tying and spacing of reinforcement bars, the projection of columns from the foundation, floor slabs and the assembly of rigs. On site he explained the lessons of the whole year in visual form and answered the questions that interested them.

Within the 20-day placement programme, in which 53 students took part, the students were also given assignments in architecture and design. Nurlan Hagverdiyev shared his experience in architecture and Shirali Javadov his experience in design with the young people.

Every year, students of different universities operating in Azerbaijan traditionally do their placements at “Zaferoğlu İnşaat”. The programme lets them follow the construction process closely and apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. Some of the students are then offered jobs at the company.
